Yes, diversionary tactics rule the campaign. When pressed for concrete policy, neither candidate can give a complete dissertation of their approach. Every politician under the sun runs on a change platform and yet can never give you a complete answer as to how and what they will do. Promises... Promises...

I can't wait until the whole election is over. I'm tired of all the back and forth punches both are doing. Why can't they both just get up there and tell what they are for and then let the people decide. They just want to cover up all the things they are for, like for abortion, for instance, with all the economy and war related talks. As long as people have their mind on that stuff, the candidate can get away with a whole truckload of other stuff.

Well, I'm not sure if this is on the same level as Colin Powell endorsing Obama, but the rapper Eminem has publicly stated his backing of Obama.

His statement, "I’ll vote for Barack. I know we are going into a recession. Pardon the cliché but we need something to change. I think Barack would be a breath of fresh air, to get in there and actually get what's left of the Bush administration out the door."

Wow, what a truly thought out and well informed decision. I am becoming so much more comfortable with the prospects of Obama being our President as each and every new media personality stands in line behind their anointed leader...

Yes, if he does fail the tests that are most definitely ahead, not only will his political legacy be tarnished, but the citizens of the United States will pay the ultimate price from any failure.

We are teetering on the edge of major disaster and it seems like we are willingly entering into a future of great unknown just because "we" want "change." Which brings something to mind... all politicians speak of change, and for the life of me, I can't think of any real change since I've been alive.

I agree 100%, I will cast my vote for McCain and Palin. This race I compare to the old story about the Tortoise and the Hare race. The young blow hard is the Hare and the old Rebel is the Tortoise. But like you said it looks like the Hare may win this one. Back in my part of the country they would tell Obama to put up or shut up. Time will tell, but for the good of our country I certainly hope that he isn't all smoke, or this country will fall into much worse conditions than the U.S.A. has ever seen.
